AMD now has the 77-79 Chevy grill

This is a GM restoration part. Are these good reproductions?

I ordered the part. I'll let you know when it arrives. Find one that is not cracked and broken is near impossible in the junk yards.

If they say GM Restoration part, then yes it’s a good part. The GM Restoration Parts are an exact replica of the OEM. That is the only way GM allows the part to be reproduced with the “GM Authorized Restoration Part” label.
Some people will argue, that the repop’s are not as good as the OEM. But for that part to carry the GM Restoration label, it must meet the same criteria as the original part. The only thing it will be lacking, is the part number. But that is not the case with everything. For example, the 85-87 Grille Bow tie is a GM Authorized Restoration part, and it actually does have the same part number stamped on the back.

I see the grill bow tie selling for big bucks NOS on ebay. I have to wonder if these are original since the copy is identical. Not to say that they are not original but I would have no way to tell.
