found out early model dash, the ash tray frame wash spot welded and not held in with screw. Thanks for help

Was anyone able to find out where to buy the plastic ashtray guides?
Is it worth trying to find the guides or just convert to ballbearing ashtray? I have a '72 GMC Jimmy 2wd with an ashtray with the plastic guides. Thank you, Bob Posted via Mobile Device |

I just ran into this same situation the glides were all boogered. I was replacing the center dash piece anyway. My ash tray frame was welded in but it was easy to remove since i had the dash piece on the bench. Bought a new ash tray and frame $50 Classic Ind. Never did look for just the glides.
