When it comes to studying these vehicles, I try to overturn every stone, including checking out camping and 4 wheel drive magazines from back in the day. Photos from 4 wheeler magazine, July '65. The person who bought the Jimmy knew what he wanted, optioned for tough going in the outback! There might have been some aftermarket accessories installed on it, but I positive it still has the original battery for a 1 or 1 1/2 year old vehicle. This Jimmy must be a '64, GMC stopped installing hubcaps on '65 and '66 factory 4x4's. Notice the rare optional "Prutsman" stainless west coast mirrors and heavy duty commercial 2 piece tube type 15" rims, the rims that accept those 7 5/8" opening hubcaps.
