Best rear view mirror
I need a new rear view mirror. I was looking through some of the catalogs and noticed that they range in price and size. I am looking for more of the wider style ones so that I have better visibility. Does anyone have any recommendations.

Re: Best rear view mirror
The 2000’s trucks had some with compass and outside temp that were pretty cool, the wiring is small and can be tucked under the windshield rubber

Re: Best rear view mirror
Thanks for the suggestion but I am looking for something more original looking and I already have the original bracket bolted to the mettle so I don't want to use a mirror that sticks to the windshield.

These are originals in short and long.

Re: Best rear view mirror
I recall using the wider mirrors found on mid-60’s Buick’s or Oldsmobile’s to get a better rear view. Just measure up between the sun visors for clearance.

Re: Best rear view mirror
I’m sorry maybe I wasn’t clear in my original post. I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation of one that they have purchased and are happy with

Re: Best rear view mirror
The oem style day/night mirror is significantly wider than the base model mirror. But maybe you have one already judging by your truck of the month pics anyhow.

Re: Best rear view mirror
I hadn't even thought about the width problem and it interfering with the visors until you guys reminded me. My current mirror does prevent my visors from coming down. It has never bothered me because I am so tall that if I put my visors down I would not be able to see out of the window.
