4L60 shifter cable
Has anyone been able to use the 4L60 shifter cable on a 67-72 column???

not sure on 67-72 but i tried on a 78 and I could not get it to work in a smooth fashion. It was a hit and miss thing. Couldn't get to move consistently, it floated all over. Build custom brackets and still had trouble. ended up installing the original rod set up.(had to cut the cross rod to fit the distance difference between factory and the frame rail. But it was a easy adjustment) My challenge was I had a 460 that had the short shaft and I needed a neutral safety switch that mounted on the trans. So i Replaced the shaft with a longer one and everything works well. The dash indicator is off but I know when I am in the correct gear.
