Drag Link ends orientation

In rebuilding the front end, the drag link is currently with the long one in to the pitman arm, and short one to steering arm/knuckle. My online looking leads to me to believe this is incorrect.

On this image I believe No. 3 is the shorter one and No. 4 is the longer one. Can someone please confirm, thanks

Re: Drag Link ends orientation

Long one to the pitman arm on both my Blazers...but it probably doesn't matter as long as there's adequate thread engagement on both ends
