65 gmc window frame trim.

I have a gmc cab with trim that came with no doors and I got some good c10 doors for it. I’d like to get the gmc trim that goes around the doors window frame. ( have the cab sale pieces so I don’t need a full set): They are in a big u shape. Hopefully I can get clips and figure where to drill the holes in the c10 doors. Anyone know a source for this trim. I assume it’s not reproduced.

Did the gms's have the sale pieces? The ones I have seen have some chrome pieces that finish the loop and have a "custom" script in the middle.

Yup just like that. I just need the door parts, but for a 64 and up.

Re: 65 gmc window frame trim.

Careful though forestb are for 63 and down models, 64-to 66 are different because of the door shape. So you can start looking on the 60-66 GMC forum, there was a set fore sale over there a couple months ago.

This is my 64, see the difference?

Mine is a 64, not a knee knocker.

Re: 65 gmc window frame trim.

The next challenge would be installing them on c10 doors. How do they mount?

Re: 65 gmc window frame trim.

They attach with bolts and clips that slide back and forth along the trim. So there is a little wiggle room. The clips are in the locations that you can’t reach from the back.

Re: 65 gmc window frame trim.

I wonder if you could 3m them? Lots of people are using 3m on the side trim.

Bigmoe, PM me. I believe I may have the parts you need, right here in the land of the plummeting dollar! Off a 66 GMC.

Re: 65 gmc window frame trim.

Sorry bigmoe. Only have the hoop piece for passenger door. I think I have the rest of the trim pieces from the cab for both sides, but it sounds like you do too.

Re: 65 gmc window frame trim.

When I dug out the window trim, I found it has a big crease in it. Must have happened in storage.
