New (kinda) member from Washington state

Hi, everyone!
I had an account here years ago with my project 56 short bed. Life happened and project was put away for 10+ years but now it’s time to make it happen. Quick rundown of the highlights;

56 big window short bed
59 fleet side bed
Rydman ranch custom air bag chassis (modified from a 65 c10)
5.7 and 700r4 from a low mile 87 z28
6x2 intake promaxx heads dressed up to look like early 60’s hot rod engine

Very cool. Welcome back, neighbor. Maybe you can do a build thread so we can see more pictures and follow along. And maybe I'll be able to get out to one of the site you take it to.

the 6x2's are killer and will look awesome in your truck. I have 6x2's on my grandfather and I's 56 Chevy custom. They run great and look awesome when you pop the hood. We did make adapters to run 2GC carbs though over the old Strombergs.

those work and are a classic look, but I would make sure there is a screen in them at least at the base of the scoop. Doesn't take much for the needles to stick on those carbs and start leaking.

We have little louvered with paper elements on our 6x2 setup.

Re: New (kinda) member from Washington state

These actually did come with the louvered air cleaners, the ones I have do come with a stainless screen. Definitely don’t want to suck anything in there
