Bleeder Valve 1980 C20
After some Kroil, vice grips and bloody knuckles I cracked all 4 valves loose for the first time in 42yrs. In the process I buggered up the hexes. Figure might as well replace all 4 valves now. Question- Anyone know the proper thread size? Seeing lots of conflicting info. Last thing I want is to cross thread…thanks

Re: Bleeder Valve 1980 C20
As cheap as they are, I would just replace the whole wheel cylinder and calipers
...after all ,theyve got age on them.. But..you can just crimp the rubber brake hose with some vice grips, to prevent all the fluid from draining, remove the bleeder, take it with you to the parts store..

Re: Bleeder Valve 1980 C20
At least on the rears, cheap enough to buy 2 new cylinder assemblies then use the new correct bleeder screws on your old ones until you feel like tackling replacing the old ones. Then just transfer the new screws back to the new cylinders.

Re: Bleeder Valve 1980 C20
If you have a 1980 C20, front bleeder screws are M10-1.5 X 30mm.
