Wiper Switch

Happy New Year! yall, well here it is 2023 and since my truck is still sitting at the mechanics when I have time I guess Ill have to go work on it (thankfully all the big projects are already done so I dont have to lay in the mud ). So I gotta tear apart the steering column again as well as check fuses. Ive searched the site and could not find where the wiper switch plugs in at. That and if it gets really nice might get some rattle can red paint and paint the bed to match the front, otherwise it may have to wait till this spring.

Re: Wiper Switch

The wiper switch plugs in at the base of the column behind the access panel. If you have delay wipers, this is where the module is also.

You mention checking fuses. Are you having problems with the wipers?

Re: Wiper Switch

Oh ok that's what that box is.
Yes It has delay wipers and I've got a bad feeling this may turn into another can of worms, PO told me when I bought the truck that the switch was bad but I could "hot Wire" the wipers to make them work .
Well I bought a new multifunction switch (it has cruise on the stalk too not that Ill possibly use it) and changed it when I changed out the turn signal switch (broken wire) and the lock cylinder, new one just twists too (guess if it aint plugged in it will just twist). so hopefully after I get it plugged in where its supposed to go it'll work.
Im hoping that the turn signals are just a blown fuse (already replaced flasher and bulbs) and nothing more serious, but I have Hazards which is kinda weird. Oh well just hoping it quits raining long enough for me to go check those things and see whats what.
