Deluxe heater controls - am I missing a bit?
Evening all,
Quick question for those that know more than I. I am fitting a deluxe heater control to Woody, stripped it down, fixed and lubricated various bits and now putting it back together. However... I think I have lost a bit. The glass panel that show what each slider does. The black that goes behind it is this a separate piece or is it just the backing that is painted black. I have a feeling it is the former and I have lost a bit. If so, what purpose does it serve and can I just paint the backing? Anyway, any advice greatly appreciated. Onwards! P.

There is a thin black metal piece that backs up the plastic lens. Here are pics of a '64-'66 Chevy.

Re: Deluxe heater controls - am I missing a bit?
Thank you Sir!
Looks like I have a big clear up scheduled for the shed then as I can’t find it! If anyone has a spare let me know! On a side note, this is why this forum is so good. I would not have been able to rebuild my truck without the help and support of my fellow members. Onwards! P.
