What's this?
Found this under the front end of my 70 GMC. Looks like a rubber bushing for the front end, but I find nothing missing.

Oh yes ! It's that thing that goes too the whatcha ma call it. Well that's one way mom messed with my brain when I was a kid 🤪.
Yes old sway bar bushing it looks like. Check your sway bar for one missing . |

That's interesting, Mel. The sway bars I have seen use end links instead of what you show. Granted, I have only seen them on a relatively limited number of vehicles.

Driver side front bushing, only thing left is the middle part. All 4 bushings are old, cracked, dry rotted. It's been added to the to-do list. Will prolly need many other front end parts, other rubber type parts. FWIW...truck has been sitting in my barn past 7 or so years. No brakes. Im on the down hill side of getting her outta the barn, fingers crossed, end of August. She needs a battery, new tires. I just wanna be able to drive her around the block this year.
