Re: C10 TO K5 conversion.
I'll have to agree. The truck was a nice one. And again, alot of nice ones have rotted away in folks yards that could be ressurected. I kniw of at least a half dozen in my area that are "gonna be fixed up one day"..... Right

Re: C10 TO K5 conversion.
Hmmm-
cutting a suburban down into a crew cab is ok. But a regular C20 into k5 isn't.

Nobody said it was bad to cut a C/20 into a K/5. At least I never did. It's about taking a fine example of one as a donor when there are plenty of "donor grade" trucks to use for that. The cab could be half rotted, undesirable, and still be a good donor for that project I myself would like to find a crappy long bed truck, or all the pieces, and create a Blazer-like vehicle. I also would like to create a Blazer length woody wagon, combining my mechanical and woodworking skills. The Blazer-like vehicle would be a tub with no doors and no top. Just a funtime summer beach cruiser

Re: C10 TO K5 conversion.
Yes, the Canopy Express or what we call a Huckster. They were built with Panel Truck sheet metal, and earlier with wood. That would be another "would be truck to create. They had canvas sides. GM made them through the Advance Design series
