I have a few headlight warning buzzers for sale

I was sick of forgetting and leaving my headlights on my 1985 dually so I went to the wrecking yard to pick up an OEM a warning buzzer for it. In the process I grabbed a few extra. This is one of the easiest and cheapest mods to improve your truck. These are plug and play on a lot of squarebodies. It was on my 85. Price is $40 shipped in the US in the continental US for each one

Re: I have a few headlight warning buzzers for sale

I like the idea of an OEM buzzer. I didn't know they just plugged in. Where in the fuse box do they go? Looks like two rows of pins. I'm gonna go look at my 85 and see if it's obvious. I need one.

I believe these plug into the "convenience center" as opposed to the fuse box. The convenience center is a secondary electrical panel that GM added to these trucks sometime around 1985 and if I remember correctly it's located somewhere above the gas pedal (the horn relay and hazard flasher also plug into the convenience center).

According to the wiring diagrams, the 7 pins are connected to:

- switched power (ignition)
- "fasten seatbelt" light on dash
- ground
- driver side seatbelt retractor switch
- key present in ignition switch
- constant power
- dash illumination circuit

So in addition to being a headlight warning buzzer, it looks like they also serve as a seatbelt and key-in-ignition buzzer.

Thanks. I'll search for it tomorrow.

Just one, if you leave your headlights on. I had gotten one of these from another member awhile back, and it saved me a couple of time. You get so used to your automatic headlights on your modern vehicle, that you’ll forget a lot of time to manually turn off the light in our old trucks. At least I did, lol.
