New Project (1951 3600)

Just thought I'd brag about my new project I picked up this weekend. I know it's no big deal but this is actually the first project I have ever picked up specifically for a new build. All my past ones have been a vehicle I already owned or for someone else. It felt neat to be hauling this one home.

I'm just using the cab and front sheet metal and keeping it simple by mounting it on an S10 chassis with Joedoh's help using his kits, (Thanks Russ), and installing a SBC/TH350, maybe a 700R4. The guy I bought it from has quite a collection of vintage trucks and allowed me to pick out a bed, fenders, running boards, etc. from other trucks. I want to use lots of bling in the engine compartment so I'll need help in thinking outside the box as I usually keep things factory high performance, (1st Gen Z/28, SS, etc.)

Here's some pics along with my vision of what the final product will look like.

I've always wanted to document a build. It will have to wait another two years, though. Still have two projects to finish first!

The exterior is almost done, if you can find a bed with equal patina.
Great project.

The bed actually looks just as good although a totally different color, (Yellow). But, I'm gonna stick with the best paint job I can produce.

The truck is mostly rust colored! Looks like both doors and half the hood were replaced.
