62rear shock change???

has anyone cut the old bracket off and made a new upper shock mount? i have a 5in drop on the rear and looking to do something diff with the upper shock mount

I've cut them off and installed a prefabricated relocator kit, but not made my own.

I have.

I cut them off, lengthened them, and welded them back on, but such that they aren't bottom out when the axle is.

How do you like those Monroes? I have a different vehicle and the only brand of shocks I can find for it are Monroe.

I've run Monroe Blacks before, and they valved decent. They aren't a racing shock, but I'd buy them again.

I would avoid Monroe Blue. WAY too soft.
