Poppy's Patina - Wipe On Clear Coat
Anyone used this that can share their experience?
https://poppyspatina.com/ I talked to the guy with this truck, and he told me he used this. It's about a month old, so he couldn't speak to how it is a year or more down the road. It really looked fantastic.

Re: Poppy's Patina - Wipe On Clear Coat
Seems a little pricey . This is just Griot’s polish and wax done with an orbital .

Look up Vice grip garage on u tube, he uses a mixture of linseed oil, pb blaster and possibly other ingredients, vehicles turn out nice and the mixture cost would be way less.

How long do these options last? The poppy’s product claims to last several years.
Also, I have some spots through to bear metal and this supposedly has rust inhibiting properties.

Re: Poppy's Patina - Wipe On Clear Coat
I used it on mine after my attempt at using Penetrol resulted in splotches.
It looks good from 50 ft away but in my case you can see a lot of lines from the sponge applicator. I blame it on operator error. Some parts of the truck aren't original paint, and there was some Penetrol that I didn't remove good enough and the Poppy's had a weird reaction to it.

That particular green truck had 2 applications.
Did my 99 crew hood and was streaky, gonna try another coat before judging

Re: Poppy's Patina - Wipe On Clear Coat
I plan on doing this on my '75 Blazer. Just undecided between the semi-gloss or gloss.

Re: Poppy's Patina - Wipe On Clear Coat
I use the Sweet Patina Sauce. It works good. I only used one coat and it seemed to last about 2 months. I’m in Colorado. The sun is pretty hot due to 7k feet above sea level. I drive on gravel roads to and from home. I was happy and it’s not permeant like clear coat. Not quite as shinny as clear coat which I liked. I would give it a try.
