I'm thinking about picking this bad boy up
I've been looking for a 67-72 Chevy SWB 4x4 for a while to tow my 72 Blazer Desert Racer. I saw this a while ago on Race-dezert but the price was too high, it's come down quite a bit so I think I may pick it up. What do you guys think? Any buddy in Fresno want to check it out for me?

Those tires are HUGE!
Very nice truck. I do wonder why he is only providing 2 pics on the truck. Maybe he hopes people will email him so he can have more contact, and make sure people are serious when they bid

looks like a pretty solid truck to my as far as running gear. those one ton axles are a must for those big of tires but the lockers might get a little bothersome if you are towing distances.looks like he has put a lot of work into making it beefy. that 502 is worth at least 5 grand by it self. i would buy it if i had the money.

He probably has in parts alone more than the current auction price :-) It looks like a top notch restoration.
Stuff like zz502, 1 ton axles, 40's on nice wheels, premium strereo system most certianly add up to big $$$ Hope it works out for you!

That is a good price, and it looks like it was done right. However, I don't know what it would be like to tow with a swb lifted that high on those 40" mtr's. oh well, that 502 will get you wherever you are going fast enough, I suppose

wheelbase is too short, tires are too big, not enough gear. that would be like towing with 3.42 gears and 235 75 15s. its also 15K, you could build a muhc more capable rig for alot cheaper.
