RetroSound kickpanel speakers

I bought these Retrosound kickpanels where you can mount 6.5" speakers. I ordered the panels with the sound deadening material thinking it was going to be something that covered the inside of the panel. I got 2 pieces of some sound deadening material that is 12x12". They won't even cover the inside of the kick panel. What are you supposed to do with these pieces?

Re: RetroSound kickpanel speakers

Cut the material into strips, maybe 1" wide. Apply inside the coned/stepped out area for the speaker and on the flat part. It is not necessary to completely cover a panel with sound deadener. Good results can be achieved with the strips. Pretty much a waste of time, material and money to do complete coverage.
