Nice work! Did you have to chisel any "putty" from the bottom edge?.....don't know what GM used there,if it's the same stuff they put in the drip rails of pickups??? Wondered what you plan to use? Also-thanks for the pics!

Great job Alexis - there was alot more rust there that you had to replace than I had seen in those pics you posted a few days ago. Glad you got her welded up!

donkey - It seemed there was more puddy on the truck cab then on the blazer. I cleared as much out of the way. Didn't take much time just now I got to go get some 3M stuff to fill it in.
Yukon - I started to grind some areas down and metal would just flake off. Some areas the grinder just went right through like there was a hole. This is only half the problem on this side of the windshield frame. French - yes i am going with the 67. |

Looks great Alexis!! I do hope that you treated that underlying rust with something though. Otherwise that could come back to haunt you sometime in the future. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Not finish yet. I still got to do the area where the weatherstripping and the door meet on the winshield frame. The cut I will be doing will allow for more area to be cleaned. maybe I'll get that done today.

Can't Wait To See Her Finished, Spent A Grand On A 67 Cowl Hood
And Front Clip For My 72, Then Turned Around And Bought A 72 In Cali That Is Close To Perfect, Can't Bring Myself To Smooth Out The Rear Side Markers, So Now I Have Tenativlly Sold The Old 72 And Ol Tim C. Is Gonna Let Me Swap Out The 67 Clip, Since It Is All Still In Boxes, For Some Other Needed Parts, I Am Jealous, That's What I Wanted Originally Was A 67 Cowl Nosed Blazer, Good Job.
