67 c10 suspension & big block

I have a 67 c10 thats been lowered,it doesn't have an engine and I have a 454 that runs ok and wanted to drop it in the truck but my dad tells me not to because the suspension is the truck is for a SB not a BB. would it be too much to upgrade to put the 454 in the truck?

My truck was lowered a whole bunch.

I had a 6 cylinder 3 speed with no options at all. I replaced it with a 454, auto trans, power steering, power brakes, 4 core radiator, everything, all at once.

It may have dropped it another 1/2 inch, that's it.

There's a huge difference in weight between the old drivetrain and the new one. No problems at all with the weight affecting the suspension.
