Does anyone else cleanout old Threads?
Does anyone else clean out old threads on this board? Mainly the parts board is what I was talking about. If I sale somethings on there, After a week later I cleanout the old stuff. Now I can understand leaving things on the message board for the information. But it is just a thought that the parts board Needs cleaned up. It helps some of us who check old things to see what is still for sale. Only the thread starter can remove the whole thread.
Just a thought on helping the storage problems on the servers.

I think it is very useful to have the threads there to help determine the price of an item. Not always helpful, but sometimes it is. I don't see much but when I do, I like to price my stuff fairly and looking at old threads helps me.

I do agree there are sum useful qualities to having old parts posts...but I do notice there are a few of those one time only posts by people who sign up just to post an item or service for sale and no one ever responds to and drop right off the map...those could go maybe.
Just a thought tho, some of the members around here value there post counts and prolly won't want to delete parts posts they have (not that many would admit that). I personally haven't gotten into the selling parts on the parts board yet. I have searched the board for items to purchase and like to compare previous prices to the current part price to determine if it's a deal or highway robbery so on so forth... BRIAN

If I never cleaned out my old stuff, my post number would be about 80 post higher.

I went it shouldn't be cleaned..
I look all of the time for things I have to sell, and things I want to buy, Just to get an idea on what it's really worth !! I do buy from there/here but don't often sell from there. |

I like having the history for reference. I don't see what the big deal is with post count. Maybe if they didn't keep track of the number of posts a member made it would free up a little server space. Just a thought.

I assumed they just fell off after a while. Never really paid attention.
