1968 steering wheel
Does anybody know where I can get a Factory style steering wheel for a 68 Truck? I don't want the kind all the suppliers sale that really is for a 69-72 model. I am looking for the original 68 style with the 3 bars meeting at the center with a round horn button. I can't seem to find a dealer for these. Any Ideas? Thanks guys

You can find them occasionally on the parts board, and ebay, but nice used ones without cracks are super rare, as you probably know., and I don't believe that they are being reproduced. I have a couple that need repair if you are interested. Eastwood sells a repair kit, or some people just use JB weld in the cracks, and sand & repaint them.

I don't think I've ever heard of these being reproduced. You could try GMC pauls site.
GMCpauls.com If he doesn't have it I don't think anyone will. You only choice might be to find a good used one and have it refurbed or refurb it yourself.

You sould be able to find a good used one. They didn't crack and deteriorate as badly as the 69-72 version. Board member Mike Files (you can PM him) had a few used for sale and I know he does not sell junk. Another option is to scour local yards and look at the 67-72 series 40-60 trucks. They used the same 3 spoke wheel as 67/68 series 10-30 trucks did.

Ok, Thanks for the info guys. I was really hoping to find a place they were being reproduced, but had my doubts. Right now I'm using a wheel out of a 90's model truck and it looks good, I just kinda like the look of the 68 wheel.

I have a like new red one from a 67. It was restored a few years ago. I never used it. Don't know if it's like a 68 though.
