Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank

Dave have you experienced any issues with the website? Tried to purchase EFI tank this morning and got the message "transaction could not be completed". I will give you a call later this morning to place my order over the phone.

Thanks again for the Group Buy and the great product.

I did. because of the quantity of requests all tanks will have a return fitting on the top of the tank.

Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank

Dave i got your PM and replyed..

I have a question, i have looked at a number of builds here and all that i have seen there was a cross member both foward and behind a rear frame tank install, i just went out and took some pics, i have 1 rear frame cross member (brace) about 12" from the rear of the frame and nothing else until about 2' from the front of the bed, am i missing a cross member?

The 3 pic's go from the rear of the frame looking at the passenger side

Disregard the squair tubing as that is part of my current hitch and will be removed for a reciver type later.

Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank

swamp rat...I think yours looks different because its a leaf spring truck and its a 3/4ton.

but it does look odd. here's my 1/2 ton leaf spring frame (swapping to coil):

this shows my coil spring crossmember laying close to where it should be...I'm keeing the leaf crossmember for that little extra...
