Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember
Started installing my Touring front dropmember this weekend. Next weekend I will paint and install the a-arms and the rack. Then I will be ready to put my wheels on

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember
Looking nice, can't wait to see the chassis on wheels. I'm expecting my mild rear (step) PB dropmember in next week......I have been patiently waiting. I hope to achieve the crispness you have on you frame. I like the look and texture of the John Deer blitz black paint and I 'm contemplating on using it for my entire frame......been dusting off the old painting skills with paint guns from Harbor Freight. I figure the right mix of paint and harder should do the frame well. Again, looking good!!

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember
Posted via Mobile Device I got my notches welded in today....and for the wait times , if you can't wait 6-8 weeks for quality parts..... How long does it take the average guy in his garage to do a frame up resto? 6-8 weeks is a drop in the bucket

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember
Got my control arms painted up and installed this weekend. Put my brakes back on and snapped a pick with my front wheel on. Was checking my brake clearance before they get mounted and balanced.

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember
So after seeing what a difference a porterbuilt dropmember does, and how bad ass his work is, i took the plunge and ordered one too. I also ordered his control arms too. I already put 2.5 drop spindles on, pocketed the lower control arms and still wasn't enough. It's too bad i did all this work just to rip everything out and pull the motor just to get another 2 inches. But the last 2 are the most important as you can see from the pics.

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember
Was hoping that wasn't the case for the rear, since I don't want to raise the bed, but the mild step may leave me enough depth in the bed. I think that stance would be worth it. Thanks for the help and info!
