Thanks for the encouragement J, i just keep thinking about the days, weeks, months you spent sanding your truck, only to sweep it up off the shop floor and reapply

Re: PO has me PO'd

Lots of good progress and hitting a wall always is rough.

Quick question regarding your hubs. The round retainer with the holes did you line up the hole with the nub on the first locking nut?

Thanks.....and yes the slot in the hub has to line up, but you can flip ring 180 to get it to line up better on a tang, so you don t change your torque setting, ok did nt answer question let me think about, my head hurts. Just spent 5 hours on the phone with microsofts head geek

If you look at this image http://thumbs2.ebaystatic.com/d/l225...BM3z1auHcQ.jpg you'll see on the left ring at 12 o'clock is a bump. This bump has to line up with a hole in the middle ring for it to be seated and locked properly.

Re: PO has me PO'd

OK, all the surgeries are done, vascular system was a bit of a problem, had to insert needle, then push a wire through needle to unblock it. Three stints later, and procedure is done. Seems I ve ignored it to long, the price I paid for being a Dad, ya still have to work come Monday morn, no matter what ails ya
100% blockage on right leg, 70% blockage on left leg

Now that I m all fixed up, I can get back to my build.... emergency brake cables first up

Thanks, enjoying your build, very entertaining. Just ordered two new drums from Rock Auto, we ll see how the quality is(raybestis). Now to find some quality high temp. Paint and figure out color. Not sure if color should standout or blend in thru the slots of my wheels... opinions? I ll let the masses rule

progress is just a thought process, with your success and failures we learn what does and doesn t work, so by you attempting something, you speed up our builds by learning what not to do. Keep up the good work, I think youre doing fine on your build

thanks for watching, you guys keep ME going

Re: PO has me PO'd

Jim,
Its just a random pic I found but it may very well be it, her , him, whatever in a few years. One never knows.

I will be curious to see how the white turns out since I have the slots saved for the panel truck. I just figured since the inside edges of the holes on the slots were black (at least on mine) it would be the right way to go( for me anyway) but always open to different ideas. I guess I have seen to many of the rice burners lately with the brite colors showing through the wheels.

Richard

yeah, I know what ya mean, red on brembos, porshe and Ferrari look good, but, this is neither, so I hope off white is enough accent

So glad to hear you're up and running again Jim, both you and the project

I'm looking forward to the progress, and curious to see how the off white on the drums turns out.
