Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
thanks!
finallly got some primer on! heres what i sprayed.. and heres after the first coat.. i did spray one more coat but there wasnt good light out to snap a pic. will start sanding down the roof tomorrow and hopefully get it sprayed at the end of the day or early friday morning. a lot of body work ahead of me...but at least im getting a good solid foundation to start with and knowing whats under my paint.

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
solid black im going for that murdered out look...but ive been throwing around red or silver ideas for interior. but i plan on all black exterior, all black interior including seats, carpet, and dash. and all black 22's with a polished lip. but the wheels for now will be small whitewall with stock black painted 15's.
i also got the roof primered earlier this week, and am shooting the passenger side quarter panel with epoxy on saturday morning.

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
sounds good black would be killer on it and being blacked out would be even nicer I would like to go with maybe a transparent blue like one the new suburban and chrome 20s trim with gray inside that tricked out and some kind of paint scheme on it as well thats what i like to do with mine

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
not a bad idea...theres a ton of colors that look good on these trucks. ive never owned a black truck, and i thought this one would be perfect. although black is probably the wrong color for doing all this for my first time lol
heres some pics of the roof i got done during the week and i also finished up the passenger side quarter today! there is a few i couldnt get to load..but heres the rest..

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
I was flippin thru post and decided to look at your's. one quick question, I noticed that you used the rubber gaskets in the front and back of your intake manifold, if this is true I would recomend that you remove them and use some RTV instead, I made that mistake less than a year ago and ruined my motor, the reason behind it is that they are to high to compress the gaskets between the intake and the heads, it causes a vacume and keeps all the oil in the upper end of the motor causing the lower end to run out of oil and burning up the bearings.

na, j/k lol you're not the only person to tell me that. im thinking of changing it out to some rtv...but probably will wait until im getting ready to drop it in. no real progress right now..im swapping my front bags out for some 2500 dominators..should be getting those in at the end of week. but at the same time i will be putting my 73+ pads and calipers in, along with my 67-70 inner and outer tierods and adj. sleeves. then ill drop it back down and get on the jambs..

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
thanks.
well, i did manage to get the new inner and outer tie rods and adjusting sleeves installed, along with the new calipers and pads. also got my new bags installed. then it started raining lol. i plan on renting a torque wrench (mine sucks) and get everything torqued down within the next few days. ill try and get pic tomorrow, nothing special though, looks similar to the old setup but with new stuff lol. im waiting on the rubber brake lines then im debating if i should clean up the rims and shoot some paint on them and add some tires before letting it back down. then....then its back to the jambs lol
