Re: Post your 1960-66 STEPSIDES
Here is my 65' getting very close to being able to drive her. New wiring kit, exhaust with x pipe, new shocks springs, track bar, brakes, 327 rebuilt with comp cam and new 4 barrel carb, new valve covers and plug wires, electronic distributor, radiator, quick ratio steering box, all new bed and wood kit, new, new, new I can keep going but I am sure you get the idea! I am glad I have not been keeping track of all the money spent or I am sure I would be sick to my stomach but no regrets. We love the truck and plan on keeping her in the family for a long time. I want to drive her the way she is for a while but I am already thinking LSX with fuel injection and AC but that is going to have to wait till next year.

Re: Post your 1960-66 STEPSIDES
Hi Bowtie 62 your stepper is awesome I hope you still have it. I have a 62 GMC short step that I'm building I like the color you have I think its called "glenwood green". Color choices are driving me crazy but I'm going to stick with solid colors was thinking your color or a beige called vanilla shake. Also how did you lower it? Do you still have torsion bars? I'm considering a cross member swap. Are those coker classics and what size did you go with like the smoothie rims too. Sorry about all the questions its just are trucks are a rare breed.

I've been waiting 4 years to add mine to this thread. Just became my daily driver this week. Obviously still a work in progress but it's come a long way. I did 99.9% of the work, mostly outside under a tree or tarp.

My 62 C30 stepper. Burns some oil, leaks some brake fluid, still goes to work every day.

Re: Post your 1960-66 STEPSIDES
Rocknrod
That appears to be a '73-'80 rear sport bumper for a fleetside that the center has been modified. There is a difference in the chrome finish on the top above the exhaust outlets that clue me into it being modified. I know it is NOT a regular stepside bumper, as all the stepsides from 1967-1987 had the same style sport bumper...
