Re: What parts aren't out there?
Back to GMC core supports, it looks to me that the Chevy core support is the same as a GMC, but there are brackets spot welded to attach the 4 headlight buckets. Maybe you only need to reproduce those brackets, and either weld them to a Chevy core support or sell them separately.

Re: What parts aren't out there?
In-cab hood releases would be a wonderful item and I think you would have a ton of these sell.
Some of the guys on the forum have made their own but a lot of people don't like to fab up parts and search junk yards. Here is a link to a topic of how they did it http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...t=hood+release Edit: Thought of another one. A fuel filler kit for the blazer tank install. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ad.php?t=77104 Basically would need all the parts in the write up prefabbed for the install. No adapters, no welding, no guess work at all. Hope the creators of both don't mind me asking a vendor to make them. Last edited by TierAngst; 03-15-2008 at 02:50 AM. |

Re: What parts aren't out there?
How about a patch for the floor area under the passenger side seat in the blazer?
And how about a full side skin for a blazer. Brothers sells the front & rear halves, but it would be nice to get a one piece. Enough welding on a one piece let alone 2 halves.

Re: What parts aren't out there?
How about forword rear spring hangers for people who want to convert from coil to leaf springs. I have found several shackle flips for the rear but no one repops the forword rear spring hanger. I know some trucks have rust or bent spring hangers.

Re: What parts aren't out there?
I shot pictures of the prototypes over a year ago....every time we get an update the date comes and goes. We DID just get our own '67-'72 stepside bedsides in stock with the stake pockets and angle strips installed. They also come with a set of stainless hole caps.

Re: What parts aren't out there?
I know some of these have already been mentioned many times but I will vote again for:
LWB Fleetside COMPLETE FULL BEDS I would gladly pay for a complete bed plus wouldnt mind paying up to $500 to ship it. I just would like to see complete beds for sale. If thats not possible then at least Bedsides and floors. FULL COMPLETE STEEL CABS again wouldnt mind paying high for shipping just want it. If not at least start making parts that others dont. Complete full roof panels NEW BENCH SEATS Complete replacement bolt in ready to go seats! If these were made I think you could sell a couple thousand the first week! Those are a few things I would love to see made BEDS / CABS / SEATS

Sell a gas tank relocation kit that actually has EVERYTHING you need. Door, filler neck, hoses, grommets, etc.?

Re: What parts aren't out there?
Ok Tri-ProAutomotive ...I just read the post on a previous page about the glove box liner...duh? I should have read before posting. At least you gave it a good try. I appreciate you asking for the needs of these trucks. Very good marketing approach.

Re: What parts aren't out there?
Are tailgate patch panels made anymore? I know I bought a patch for the lower inside of a gate several years ago and now they don't seem to be available. I've seen a lot of good gates with pinholes across the inside bottom of em that a patch would save.
This might have already been mentioned somewhere in this thread....But I didn't read through 14 pages of it. |
