Re: 60-66's in the movies
I spotted a bunch of C10's in "Two-Lane Blacktop". The crashed truck on it's side looks like a 60-61 C30.

Re: 60-66's in the movies
I was surprised to see disc brakes on the rear of the '55 Chevy, seeing that this movie was made in 1971.
Also, this '55 Chevy was also used in "American Graffiti" driven by Bob Falfa (Harrison Ford).

Re: 60-66's in the movies
The Z28 in 1969 could be ordered with rear disc brakes. Funny how we don't here of inventions sometimes for years after they have been perfected. First cellular phone,(1973), my first cell phone (2000). The microwave oven for household use first sold in 1955. and was actually invented in 1946.The first microwave I ever seen came to my house in 1983, I was 10.
It's always interesting to see the Newest inventions. I think they have always been around but only inventors have just improved on them over the years. |

Re: 60-66's in the movies
Was watching Insane Pools Off The Deep End last night and they used a drawing of a 63-66 to show how a tornado can pick up a truck. The animator must have been a truck fan because it had a lot of detail.

I couldn't get a photo but I saw a 60-66 in the movie "IT" last night. It is parked on the side of the road next door to the house on Neibolt street.

Re: 60-66's in the movies
I'm watching the NTGEO channel now & a boy named Zeb Hogan is hunting big southern catfish & he's driving a Baby Blue 64-5-6 short step Chevy around where he's going!
OK I think now it's light green, looks different in the rain! |
