Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

My old winter beast.. 1997 GMC 2500 SLE, 5.7L Vortec, 5 Speed, Manual 4x4, Cranked T-bars, 2 inch blocks, 33" BFG on 16" Rims. Had everything but leather and a 3rd door... was a sick truck and I regret selling it!

Also my old summer toy.. 1995 Chevy 1500 2wd, 350, Auto, 5/6 Drop, stereo, GMC grill with billet insert, shaved tailgate and welded in rollpan.. Also sold, I had both these trucks at the same time, sold them both because not having the 3rd door and a baby is a pain in the ass! Looking at getting a 3rd door 4x4 most likely.

I believe so, although it doesn't seem as deep as factory. It pops with an awesome blue tone.

Thanks, 5/7 20x8.5 RIDLER wheels. Back-275/40, Front 245/35. I want to swap out the fronts with 18's as I can get more sidewall. The front is a lil to rubber-bandy for me.

Just get some taller tires for your 20s.

Sorry, I just think a 2" stagger on a regular cab shortbed is too much. 1" works. 2" doesn't. But that's just me.

I agree, but wouldn't it get into the fender? As it is now, turning lock to lock is good but it's maxed. A taller tire (sidewall) would surely be in the fender. The fenders are cut out to the max now.

Had to go check, looks to be 4 1/2. With wheels on the truck that's just a close estimate.

Then yeah, I can see how your tolerances are a bit close.

GUMBY'S 10.....

What brand is that fiberglass shell? Looks great.

I am considering the choice of refurbishing mine, or getting a new one.

Just the lips, I do hit the left inner wheel well more than I would like.

Rear-flip with hangers and shackle relocated, and of course c-notch.

Front- 2" drop coils and the lower ball joint was relocated up to maintain the right camber. I didn't do the work so I cant go into detain other than it turned out right.
