Man-o-man... My '88 is original..... your paint is the same as mine..color & scheme..... GM must have improved the paint jobs..... mine deteriorated the clear coating 10 years ago.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Installed Kenwood head unit and door speakers, still working on amp and subs. Nothing big, I hate the BOOM BOOM crap, just like to feel my 80's arena rock a lil bit.

What's your drop, daniel? Look'n good.
Vega, I'm LOVING the 5/7 drop and the clean look. No offense...the shots taken from low on the ground are artsy but it kills the perspective of how low and perfect that stance is. Appreciate the additional pics regardless. Last edited by Blitz; 07-26-2012 at 07:30 PM. |

I've been more and more attracted to the 5/7 lately. Couple more ???'s.
How does it ride? What shocks are you running? |

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
you cant go wrong with a 5/7 man. it actually rides real good , i have belltech drop shocks on the back and gabriel drop shocks up front. im actually getting ready to do a bigger notch in order to drop it 3 more inches from the back and i will be dropping the front 2 more inches aswell so it'll be a 7/10 when im finished .

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Keep an eye on your balljoints. I ran 3" arms and 2" coils for several years. I caught mine well before anything happened and had my balljoints replaced once, but I know of several people who had the balljoints fail on them while driving. The drop LCAs are meant for stock springs. Combining them with drop springs puts a lot of undue stress on the balljoints.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Uh,...... yea.....
The squeaking sound was so loud, it was difficult to locate where it was coming from. I thought it was the A-arm bushing, because you'd push downward on the fender to make the sound. Nothing seemed loose. It failed some time before, but the symptom didn't show until I was maneuvering in my parking space. Talk about luck!! I just got off the freeway. The factory joints had no lube fittings. My new ones do!! I replaced my A-arm bushings while I replaced the ball joints. |

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Whoa man, been there. I had an upper bj let go early one morning on the way out of town. The tire/wheel leaned over in toward the engine and the rim scrapped the upper control arm throwing a shower of sparks all over the highway. This was well before sunrise so you know it was a wakeup for me and the one car coming at me. One of those check yer shorts moments I tell ya...
