That is what I keep telling my wife when I want a certain truck or car and she thinks it is too much. If I find something that I really want and the owner will not come down and I know this is it, then I would also pay a little more to get what I really have been looking for and found.

Bring a light Magnet and run it over the lower rust prone areas.

I am not really sure if the bumper is painted or not. It looks to be chrome to me. You can see some shine in it. I might be wrong but just not for sure. It does not even have any chrome around the windshield.

When you go look at it, look at the trim items, upper and lower side trim, tailgate trim, chrome bumpers, etc. Anyone can add the CST/10 logo on the sides. Does anyone know if the CSTs had a headliner? I paid 3400 for my shaved c/10 with just the primer paintjob. Sounds pricy but the guy took care of a lot of the rust and just didnt finish. Sounds like a lot but i did talk it down to that and this was EXACTLY what I wanted.
Love at first site is always a factor if you ask me... But remember that there more trucks in the sea..... er.... roadways. But i think your going by the right route asking us since well have a lot of helpful info on this kinda thing.

I agree. I do not see any CST items on the truck from the picture if it used to be one someone removed everything on the exterior. It doesn't even have a chrome front bumper. I am of the opinion that it is a swb so it is worth more and fleetside, but 6 cyl and 3 speed decreases the value some. If it is mechanically good than 2,000.00 drive out is all I would give for it since you have plans to make it a v-8, add that to your cost and maybe look for a v-8 truck already and check that price.
