Care to share pics of your '68 Charger (my all time favorite vehicle!)??

I hang at the HAMB too, but I just lurk as well...I think I have like 10 post. Lots of people over there are downrite rude and inconsiderate! If you don't own a '66 or older, you suck and shouldn't be over there. Whatever.
JACKED?? It's my thread

Yeah Josh share em up... I said it was ok

The HAMB is very knowledgable but you have to have thick skin to hang there. I only have a few posts myself and I've been a memeber since, ohh, like 98??

Re: I want this so bad but?

Detour! Detour!!
No longer have my dirtbike (YZ426F) But have an '88 Tecate 4 for the sand!

My "junk"......... no pics of my '69 'burban on my 'puter.....but I will soon, once I start swappin' in the big block! Also have a VW Baja project...not much to look at right now....progress is slooooooooowwwww too many irons in the fire!

The Charger was my first car....it's been through ALOT.....original R/T, 440, AT, AC, PS, PB, PW, yada, yada....I swapped in a 4 speed a few years ago....alot of fun, esp with 4.10s.... has some rust in the 1/4s, but I can't bring myself to take it apart to fix it, 'cause I'll end up going through the WHOLE car...I can't afford to do it RIGHT at the moment.....plus it's too fun as it is!!!

THANKS!

I always liked XRs.....grew up on one.
As for getting rid of my bike....I wanted a bike for the sand that my wife could putt on too....plus I had a few BIG crashes at the MX track at SIR....broken wrist, ripped the end of a finger off, etc.....but now she really can't ride the quad much (MS), so building her the VW(although that may change to a 4Runner here soon)
I'd like to get another 426, it ruled in the sand and was a very nice, reliable bike....
I do need another dirtbike.......

Re: I want this so bad but?

Yeah I can understand the "can't afford to get hurt anymore" scenario as well as double duty toys. I converted my bike to more dualsport capability so I can do more longer easier trips with my dad. I can ride the rough stuff but my body won't take it as well anymore. Takes me all week to recover.

YZ 426 is a MONSTER on the sand. Have a few friends with those and a few with the new YZ450's & CRF450's. I don't need that much power anymore. I'm just happy to be able to get out and ride at all!

Hahaha! Yeah.....I should stay away from the track these days.....
But the sand.....that's different, tricky on a bike, but once ya get the hang of it, it's a BLAST! Lay the bike over like a crotch rocket and do 5th gear wheelies for days...........and crashing doesn't hurt (as bad...hahaha)

64 pickup---->hotrods----->dirtbikes.......makes sense to me!
Maybe this needs moved to OT discussion....he he he........

Re: I want this so bad but?

sorry. when I got the email on my phone I had about 6 beers (real Dark beers )in me and wasn't quite thinking straight.

Yeah those would look absolutely sweet on my bike but shipping that stuff to me would be kind of prohibitive.$$$ THOSE ARE NICE!!! I do want a second set of wheels for riding on the streets. How much modfication do you have to do to the brakes to get those to work??? Are those Talons??

Funny thing.. My bike has been modded quite a bit since that last shot. I now have:
Acerbis Cyclops headlight
Cycra handguards
XRs Only rack
Endurance computer
Fatbars abd risers
And all my street legal gear on there now. I have put some $$ into it.

The only place I've been so far is Sand Lake a few times ....cause of how close it is....I wanna hit up Winchester Bay, Coos Bay, and Florence....it's hard coming up with the time and $$$$ to go.....especially with cars to build!!!!

My wife at Sand Lake in her sandrail....(traded it for a tubbed out, caged '67 Camaro )...

I feel your pain!! Time? What's that?

Yeah the sand is fun.. A long time ago, way back when I belonged to a jeep club. We used to go all over the place. A few guys had rails. One guy had one with a Mazda rx7 engine that was badazz!! Could do wheelies for miles!! Everything that requires gas is $$$ anymore. My Crew cab has the 454 and thing gulps a gallon every 10 miles. Makes it tought to tow a trailer or go very far with a load of bikes.

Huh??

I think i'd rather take my chances on my dirtbike in the woods. People are idiots on the water with the JetSkis and rideons. I would rather not be plowed over by a 10yr old kid on a 1000cc 700lb boat!!

I need to get my bike in order so I can ride it to relieve some stress.(granted: I REALLY DON"T NEED THAT SUPERMOTO WHEEL SET :P) just to ride my bike. Got the Orange beast sold. Just gotta finish the tailgate latches and reshoot the hood. (blew through on the pain when I was polishing ) It should be gone by the end of next week. The guy is ecstatic and told me not to rush finishing it!!! Then I am going to do a revamp on my shop. Finish insulating, sheetrocking, painting and rewiring some stuff. Then I will feel good about working on my next project. It's a toss up as to which one I am going to start first? The Nova or the '31. and on and on and on....

Oh and I am supposed to be putting another addition on my house and finishing the master bath and remodeling the current bat...
