Re: Interior custom ac pics
Thanks for the comments guy's......The AC system is from Vintage Air (I'm the tech support dept.) as I work for them I did get a pretty good deal and used as many parts that we offer such as the thermostat riser, hose clamps, Aeorquip EZ clip hoses, Front Runner drive system, Spal dual fans and the Gen II Compac evaporator. A typical complete AC system will start off around $900.00 and can go as high as around $3000.00 depending on the components you choose.
As far as the steering wheel, it was a close-out @ JC Whitney and the Sony radio/CD/XM receiver from Crutchfield. If anyone has any AC questions or questions about the truck, let me know....best way to contact me is to email me - tech@vintageair.com. Thanks again, Mark |

Sweeeeeeeeeeet looking truck! Congrats!
Great stance too. Is that about a 4/6 drop? and is it all mechanical - i..e. no bags or cutting frame??

Re: Interior custom ac pics
Very Cool..."Coolair" I would like to know a little more about the AC system as well. Do you have a website I can check it out at?? What is the size of that immaculate green motor?!
Sorry u already answered that!! Will that system work with factory Air? My tuck has air in dash from factory but lacks compressor, lines, evaporator, and coil...

Re: Interior custom ac pics
We do have a web site - www.vintageair.com - go to the online catalog to view all of the products available. We do not recommend mixing OEM components with new - it may work but who knows how well. Installing all new components that are designed to work together with the newer 134a refrigerant is a better way to go - you also get a 3 year warranty. If you have the FAC vents in the dash, you can connect our duct hoses to it to make it look original.
As far as price goes - for a complete cool only system such as our Slimline or Mark IV under the dash system along with the compressor, brackets, hose kit, safety switch, and condenser - it will cost just under $900.00. If you want the Sure fit kit or a universal Gen II system with related components, it would be in the $1100.00 price range. The more options you add, the more $$ it will cost. Thanks Mark |

Re: Interior custom ac pics
Your truck looks great. I'm planning on getting a vintage air kit as soon as mine starts going back together. I live in Vegas so I'm definitely going to need it.
Where did you get your serpentine accessory kit and electric fan/radiator set up? I've been looking around for a while but haven't found what I want yet. Thanks

Re: Interior custom ac pics
CoolAir. Great Job. Just ordered my AC today, your Cockpit Pics will help a
lot. But I'm really interested in your dual fan setup and shroud. What is it? Perfect setup. Got to have one like it. Thanks in Advance

Re: Interior custom ac pics
A Front Runner is around $2000.00 which includes the compressor, alternator, water-pump, pulleys, PS pump, belt and spring tensioner. The AC system will start off about $1000.00 and could go up from there depending on the options you choose.

Re: Interior custom ac pics
Mark, do you have anymore shots of the install, I'd like to see where your a/c and heater lines exit the firewall.
Thanks Mike
