Re: does this look right?
Mine has the same tilt and has since I bought it. I do have a 1/2 spacer on my tranny mount though. I'm running 6cyl mounts with a 350.

Re: does this look right?
The auto crossmember does work just fine on the stick shift app(Ive done it more than once!). If you want to go back to the cast iron bell, go 67 or older & it will have the right size hole for the car trans . If it were mine, I beleive i would cut out the orig bell crossmember & shim the trans as needed, to correct any driveline issues(seeing that it is already assembled). Your truck BTW apears to be on the correct V8 stands, whereas Olchev67's is setup on the I6 stands. best of luck, L

Re: does this look right?
As far as I know it's the heavy duty SM465 that needs the large 5 1/4" opening on the bell housing (not actuall the year of the truck), they used the SM465 up until the 80's, and I was under the impression that they all had 5 1/4" bearing retainers, the rest are 4 11/16". If you have a sbc and a car 4-speed and th350 crossmember and sbc engine mounts you should be good. Just find out for sure if you need the 1/2" shim.

Re: does this look right?
Wow lots of different views and opinions on this one. So far Im told that my motor brackets are 6 cyl and they are V8. Im also told that the motor should be tilted like mine and it shouldn't be? Im told that I want the driveline to angle up slightly and Im told I dont? Also keep in mind that this truck will be going very low in the next too weeks. I need lots of advise on this one guys? I need to get the exhaust pipes rebent around the new crossmember ASAP but I dont want to do it untill its right.

Re: does this look right?
That angle is a little steep.....just need enough angle to make the carb mounting pad level.
And yes....I know that the level is levling the wrong angle where talking about here, these are the only pics I have relating to what were talking about though.
