Re: Look what I found...C-50
IIRC, that drivers' side air intake grille on the hood of the rollback truck tells me it has a 427 tall deck. At least every one that had the 427, had the grille. I could be wrong... but I don't think so

Here's my 67 C-50 wrecker. I plan to make it a satin black, flamed overstuffed rat rod wrecker eventually, but I have too many projects!

Re: Look what I found...C-50
Not a C50 but it does have a small block Chevy in it. I know you big truck guys will like this one....especially for $650!

my grandfather had a C60 for his business when I was growing up. I will try and get pictures of it to post.

Re: Look what I found...C-50
One of my parent's farm truck is a '72 C60 and the cab, fenders, and grille looks like the rollback truck that xmitsu10 posted. I agree on the side grilles on the hood indicating it has a tall deck 427 as the farm truck has it, too. It's my favorite truck to drive around when I get the chance. The other truck is a '76 C65, it also has the small back window and tall deck 427.

Re: Look what I found...C-50
Wow I have been searching for a forum like this for a long time. I have a 1970 GMC 5500 or 6500 I'm not sure. Does anyone know where to buy front fenders? I'm trying to post a pic with this, but it isn't working for me.

Re: Look what I found...C-50
My neighbors are having their roof reshingled and the company that's doing it is driving a truck that looks exactly like that except it's dark green. GMCMAC, your pictures are probably too large and need to be resized to post them, and welcome to the boards.

Re: Look what I found...C-50
I haven't figured out why my pictures will not uplaod but I think this link works.
http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/...0&uid=10809658 This picture is a 1970 C-50 I am going to restore. It is the truck I learned to drive with when I was a kid. I guess body parts like fenders are hard to find? I have read the other posts haha. |

Re: Look what I found...C-50
They are great for hauling trash, gravel, etc. I got a 1970 C-50 not long ago. It has some body issues on the driver's side, but it is tough.

Re: Look what I found...C-50
Just a thought, but how cool would one of these be with a Cummins C series, and a 18 speed Eaton double over...
