Re: UH-OH, Look what's back on E-bay

I got a reply from the guy with the reserve, but didn't give me directions to check it out. I was going to try for that tonight, but it is gone. Of course he wanted info to do the secure pay stuff... I was going to tell him i had cash and needed to look at it before i bid...
Anyhow, since it was in my town (pop. about 8,000) i took some pics of the other one for sale and it is very similar... It is NOT the same rig however. Green monster, VERY nice rig you have. Eric

Re: UH-OH, Look what's back on E-bay

This is another blazer that is for sale in my small town. The e-bay truck looked similar and was listed in my town. Just to much coincidence between the 2 that i had to check it out some... The e-bay one was a scam from green monsters pics. I just posted the pics to show that MAYBE it was possible to see another one for sale, but i should have known if there was another in this town...

Re: UH-OH, Look what's back on E-bay

Well, too late but I informed eBay about the scammer and got this back

"Dear Michael,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to your concerns involving our Item
Description and Picture Theft Policy.

I reviewed your information about the possibility of image and text
theft. At this time, I didn't find sufficient evidence to show that the
member has violated any eBay policies.

Please understand that in some situations members will allow others to
use their images. It's also possible that the members acquired the photo
from the same source or a source that we can't verify. If this is the
case, eBay can't remove the listings.

We will be able to take action only if the person who owns the image or
text writes to us directly. If you feel strongly about this issue, I
recommend that you contact the seller, informing him or her about your
concerns and recommending that he or she contact eBay. Once we hear from
the seller, we will then take the appropriate action.

It is my pleasure to assist you. Thank you for choosing eBay.

Sincerely,
Jedidiah

eBay Customer Support

Re: UH-OH, Look what's back on E-bay

E-bay and customer service are a bit of an oxymoron. What a lame response - obviously a form letter response.
