I Bought An Old Navy Truck

Fenders, grill, and hood are all diffrent for chevy and gmc, ie you can not use a gmc grill with chevy fenders and hood, the hood can be modified to fit a gmc grill. A member has done this and there is pics in his build thread here:

update!

bought a one year old Gen I carbeurated 350 and turbo 350trans AND a 12bolt 3.08 geared rear end for $1350!

glad i have hook ups and good friends

gettin my drive line parts first...got get my radiator, all mounts, all supports, wiring and such.....


i watched my neighbor Build it up the last two months (he works for a supercharger company)

and he doesnt want it cause he just had a LS1 givin to him (crazy mang!)


can anyone send me more pics of chevy vs. gmc front ends?

Hold on Old Navy,
Don't start cutting anything up just yet. You can save yourself alot of time and trouble if you trade the parts you have for GMC parts (never mind the touble you'll save in ligning-up all those parts later during reassembly). That grill alone must be worth $400 new. There must be someone not too far from you that sells parts for these old trucks. If I were you I'd start a new thread asking if anyone in your area knows of a local guy for parts. There is also a regional section in these forums depending on where you live.

Hey old navy, got a little question for you. I noticed you bought that old navy truck on here; then over the last week or so I have seen numerous other old navy trucks for sale on ebay and other places. Is old navy getting rid of all their trucks or are these trucks from stores that have gone out of business. Dont really care either way just curious, but it does give me something to look at when im in that god awfully boring store.

PORTER BUILT Vs. MUSTANG II

Anyone use a PorterBuilt Front end on this year truck yet?

i installed a PB front end on a 64' chevy looks great...now we're putting the new driveline in this weekend....and see how well it works..

i know it will lay frame...just wanna test the drivability.....

just wondering about the difference between a PorterBuilt and a Mustang II

Thanks for the info. Now I have NO reason to ever go back to Old Navy. On a different note they just finished a Bass Pro Shop 10 minutes from my house and they have a sweet 1953 chevy truck in there as a display. I think this one actually could run and drive out the front door.
