Need a 0-90 ohm Sending Unit with Stock Gas Tank?
Do you have the stock gas tank behind the seat, but thinking of installing, or have installed, an aftermarket fuel level gauge? As you probably found out, the 60-66 sending units are 30 ohm and the aftermarket fuel level gauges for GM applications require a 0-90 ohm fuel sending unit to interface properly. I have been building the 1960 through 1966 GM truck OE sending units to work with aftermarket fuel gauges on the weekends for a few years, now. I stopped doing it a couple of years ago since there was a huge trend in relocating the gas tank to under the bed and I didn't receive anymore requests. But recently, I had a few requests, so I thought I would check to see if there are others who are interested before I stop again.
The cost is $150 (includes shipping - slightly more for air service) to your door via insured UPS Ground for a brand new OE sending unit with 0-90 ohm operation. I am located in SoCal and you can reach me via email at: vincent@mayedamotorsports.com
