When I did my LS1 Fox Mustang I had to clearance the firewall a little with the butt end of a 2x4 - after it was painted all nice - the engine was so far back.

Nice looking install, Lane! Are you using the factory LS1 electronics on these engines, or something else?

The wiring for the "ZO69 is super easy...It's a 5 wire hook up, and the ECM is about half the size of a VHS tape. Built into the harness are fuel pump and cooling fan relays....pretty cool. The 5.3 can't be too much different. Gonna be sweet !!!

I'm using a 5.3 truck harness that I'm going to have a buddy go through. Trim what I don't need - and maybe extend some of it so I can hide the computer. Gonna try to make it as clean as possible. |
