i know quite a bit about copyright law particularly how it pertains to pictures since i am a part time photographer(full time one day...) people can use my pictures however they want as long as they aren't gaining a profit from it or are not promoting something.

and i added him as a friend and have had conversations with him on there. its all good, like others said, it never made me mad or anything, i just thought it was funny

Thats not the same way i see it. If someone starts a tread subject with wtf? it seems to me that there probably was some displeasure or anger behind it. I dont know maybe it's just me.

Eric, it's cool if your cool with it i was just trying to say alot of people ues others peoples photos and not to get too worked up over it. And i think everyone on the web is guilty of stealing a photo or a song or what ever off the net somewhere including myself but like you said if they profit or try to promote some thing then it's not cool at all.

Agreed. I would be flattered if someone likes my truck or car enough to want to use a photo of it. If they want to take credit for my work, make a profit off my work, or use the bandwidth from my website that I pay for, that is a completely different story.

I think they took the pic off thier website but I dont know if they posted a correction in the magazine...or was it only posted on thier website and not even in the mag.. I dont remember.
