Re: New truck!
The wires on the back were missing, and there was a rats nest of hokey wiring under the dash. I was wondering if it was for the wiper speed, buth then I noticed the wiper switch is two speed already. hmmmmm......

Re: New truck!
I will have to look at my GMC Shop manual when I get home, but I'm about 99% sure that it is your emergency hazard lights. I know it was on my '62

Re: New truck!
I just looked at my GMC maintenance manual, and it is for hazard lights. They call it the Emergency Disability Light Switch.

Awesome! Thanks so much, thay may explain why the rear brake lights do not work. I hate to ask for more, but any chance you have a wiring diagram for it?

Re: New truck!
I was just telling someone how I got my 'Burb as a beater to drive around. Well, guess what? New carpet, seats, stereo, bags, glass........My pile of parts for the pick-up never get installed.
I would say you are screwed.

I just picked up a bunch of 2"x4"x10' studs to make a new bed floor. I went to my buddys wood shop earlier and ripped them in half to a little under 3/4" thick, and will be installing them hopefully tomorrow(this all depends on what time he stops by with a 12er of Corona) Anyway, I'm not doing any metal bed strips, it's going to be all wood, and yes, I know it won't be perfect, but it will have a useful bed floor again! I'll try yo remember to take pictures as I go along, and will make a cut sheet for anyone who wants it. Did I mention that I'm less then $30 into my bed floor? |

Re: New truck!
I was able to scan the diagrams this morning. I haven't attached a file before, so this might take a try ot two.
I keep getting the message that the upload failed. Any ideas? |
