Is this required when running your rear kit? I'm not wanting to modify the cab for driveshaft clearence.
If so go ahead and build me one also and send it with the rear kit. Any ideas on where to get a 2 pc driveshaft built?

The one that I have pictured is more commonly available due to the fact that it was used through the 90s. The critical diffrenece between the two lies in the bore diameters. The one you have (carquest part# HB206FF) has a bore diameter of 1.181" The one I have (carquest part# HB88107A) has a bore diameter of 1.378" Also, yours has a centerline that is 1.25" taller than the one I have. Options are: New yolk on the driveshaft. Modify the xmember to work for your application. I could send a tab that YOU weld in place.

I would assume they would hold up just fine. I would make sure I purchased a quality replacement part... not a chinese version if I were running that kind of torque.

Can you explain what you mean by "new yolk on the driveshaft." I'm not sure how these things go together. Does the bearing press on the yolk, then the yolk attaches to the driveshaft?

No problem with carrier or pillar style bearings holding up with serious power. My buddy runs a 525" blown alky rear engine bogger that makes 2800 HP and 1800 TQ., the front shafts run through two pillar bearings...never a problem!! Clocked in excess of 140 MPH in 200 feet, so speed rating is not an issue!!!

It is easier to explain with pictures, but the front half of the two piece driveshaft necks down at the yolk so the carrier can slide over it. It's a tight fit, but the last few I remember replacing it wasn't necessary to use a press.

Inland Empire, also have another pillar bearing on the chain drive "transfer case" behind a Lenco transmission...so thats three total with no failures or problems, and this will be the third race season.

I WANT one, put it on my tab I have the inline style carrier now but was having a complete new D/L made once I got the xmember in so I can use the newer carrier fine. My old D/l has issues from PO using it to slide my poor lil c-10 burb over rocks. From here on out all she have to worry about is them manholes and sewer mains that stick up
