Re: FuelCellGuy- Forum Special on Fuel Cell- Till April 30
Hello, i am very interested in one of your fuel cells. I have a 1969 gmc, with a 1995 chevy stepside bed. It has the fuel door on the front of the fender. I'm not sure if i would have to move the filler to the rear of the fender or what, but i would like it to fill on the side. These come with all of the brackets and everything right . How much to ship to okc with a business address?
Thank you! Chris |

Re: FuelCellGuy- Forum Special on Fuel Cell- Till April 30
The filler location would have to be moved the rear. Shipping is generally $50. These come with brackets/bolts, no brass is included. Are you looking for carb or f.i. application?

Re: FuelCellGuy- Forum Special on Fuel Cell- Till April 30
Just now saw this (not on forum much lately).
I am sure you have made one before for my app, just need to find out. '71 SWB, with ECE Hidden Hitch... This isn't a problem on most of the tanks, just wanted to check. I have a modified stake pocket fill. (I do have a neck I can use). Do these tanks clear the above? Tired of seeing the hole inside my bed with the tank still behind the seat. Thanks. Orange,
From the feedback I have gotten forn this site, it will fit with the ECE hidden hitch, I have personally have not done it myself. The filler shouldn't be a problem either. Mark |

Mark,
Do you know where I can find any pics on a thread that shows how the filler neck goes into the rear tailight? |

FuelCellGuy, I have a 72 SWB and I am running the filler in the drivers side tailight. Do you already make a tank for this setup and what else would I need to get to finish the install minus your kit? Also, I was concerned about the tank hanging to low in the rear below the bumper but will be putting a 4" drop in the back. If you made a 25 Gallon tank would that be too big for my truck and would it hang too low below the bumper? If you cant do 25 Gal what is the largest vol. tank you could make for this truck? I dont mind if its below the bumper a few inches. I could just powder coat the tank black. My set up is Carb. Shipping would be to 35904 Thanks, Brian

Re: FuelCellGuy- Forum Special on Fuel Cell- Till May 31*
Brian,
The standard fill tube is in position for the marker light fill. The standard 18 gallon tank hangs below the frame rail 4 1/2". If the tank were an inch deeper that would yield about 21 gallons. Take a look at your truck and see which direction you would like to go. Thanks, Mark |

I cant look at my frame at the moment. Im back in Iraq and wont be home until the first week of August. Looking at the pics above on your truck, is that the standard 18 Gal tank mounted under the bed? If it is, I dont think an extra inch would look that bad if I drop the rear of the truck 4" and use the original step bumper. Can the tank with the marker light fill tube be used for my rear tail light fill set up? Also, if the tank were a inch deeper and I had the 4" below the factory standard rear height, how would the ground clearance be? If you know. I would like to possably order one of these and have it ready when I got home. Thanks, Brian.
