Re: jimmy build
yah. lift wise the trucks got me by an inch but tire wise ill have it by a couple.
whats next...shoot let me consult the page long list i have getting it running. im still having carb issues. i know the gas tank needs to be flushed. so once i get that flushed then i want to change the intake and get a 4 barrell instead of the 2 barrel it has now. worked on it today alittle just cleaning up the new eaton and sourcing where i can get my rear brake hose. oh and some dude i guess came by and asked if it was for sale...again. heres a few pics the engine bay how she sits now (front fender horns are coming off) Last edited by 70 beast; 06-11-2011 at 02:26 PM. |

Re: jimmy build
not real sure. they were on my previous pickup when i bought it. never bothered to ask.
i vaguely remember something my dad said they were...American mags or something. im not 100% sure though. i do recall my dad having a set that looked exactly like them but smaller. |

After since you cut the fenders, it looks really wide. But, still looks great.

Re: jimmy build
im not sure yet. i keep going back and forth on whether to use them on this project or wait and use them on an s15 i wanna build. i know for sure though that there are things that need to be done like crossover before the swap cuz of the added travel you gain with 52s

Re: jimmy build
not much of a big update but i took the rear bumper off to paint in the tight spots.
also decided to ditch the red on the bottom for solid flat black and started painting the interior. it'll be a semi metallic silver. Last edited by 70 beast; 06-11-2011 at 02:31 PM. |

Re: jimmy build
I love spray paint & BBCs hehehe
The 454 I have is my first BBC and I'm totaly haveing fun with it Someday we should wheel! I don't get out nearly as much as I would like too.. Keep the pics a flowin Oh and I have heard thoes "horns" you cut off called "fangs" more than horns. I would guess horns point up, fangs point down

Re: jimmy build
that makes wayyyyyyy better sense Burt
when i was cutting them off i was trying to figure out what they were and finally settled for horns. we should definitely go wheeling. this truck should be better than my first one (bbc) on gas as for the wheels, i haven't remembered to ask my pops what make so ill make a note to ask this weekend. really wish it was done in time for the snow this weekend but there's always next time. |
