ok with 2" drop spindles your on the ground..BUT...the question is what are you going to do about the inner fender when you mount them and what about the heater box???....if the battery wasn't dead on my camera I would snap a pic to show you......

as it sits right now... are your LCA against the X member??? Mine are?? and that is as low as I can go with out working the fenders heater box and exhaust.....things you shoud think about....

maybe I'm missing something here???

Re: will cupping the upper bag mounts allow lca to lay flat against the crossmember

i have drop spindles and upper and lower strong arms and bolt on bag plates on the top ,but i am not on the ground, i am reworking the inner fenders, i do plan on running the factory ac box , i will probably just not be able to drive with it really low, i am taking my stock inner fenders welding wheel tubs into the top of them so they will still bolt in i am sure my wheel tubs will almost touch the heater box

Re: will cupping the upper bag mounts allow lca to lay flat against the crossmember

if you pm me your phone # I will snap a pic of what I have with just the cupped lowers on 235/75/15's ( 29.5" tall) then you will have an Idea of how much you can drop it (I have an AC truck) before you have problems or at least you'll know what to look forward to....I just looked and took some measurements it looks like a 2" drop spindle would put me into the AC box as well as the heater fan

PS: I have camera batties on the grocery list so maybe I can shoot some this evening for yea and post them

Re: will cupping the upper bag mounts allow lca to lay flat against the crossmember

here is where i set now compared to inside of fender, wanting to go about another 1.5 inches, i am not worried about hood hinges i am in line to get a set of the ones PB is building so more cutting is in order, in the picture of the crossmember it looks like it is setting on the ground but it is not just a bad picture

Re: will cupping the upper bag mounts allow lca to lay flat against the crossmember

on a side note I wish spindle builders would set there tie rod end so they mounted from the bottom then the steering geometry would be better??

Ok, PLEASE tell me what I am missing here.Is this not a picture of your LCA's laying on the ground? Is not the ground, the ground any more?

I am racking my brain trying to understand how you plan to go lower by cupping the arms.

Unless you get the bottom of those arms raised up, you aren't going anywhere.
