Re: Daily Drivers
Here' mine: 2008 3500HD LTZ Crewcab dually 4x4. I drive it sparingly as I have a company car. A crappy old Taurus until just recently I was issued a new Toyota Camry Hybrid.

Re: Daily Drivers
Hey OrrieG, I have your car's brother:
My '64 Chevelle wagon, 8-passenger (has a third seat that folds into the back floor). Has a 305 and 200-4R in it, needs some work but it runs.

Re: Daily Drivers
Looks good, I have often thought about at 60's wagon for a company car. Everyone in town I deal with already knows me as the architect that drives the classic (or old junker depending on their point of view) car. When I do drive my wife's car they usually ask if something has happened to the Chevelle.

Those photos are from the day I brought it home. GM was in way DEEP doodoo then so they were dealing without my having to say much at all. They just wanted the big trtucks off their lots. I bought it on my birthday as a gift to myself! The truck looks huge until you see it with the Lance 1181 camper (11-1/2' long) on it...then the whole rig is GI-NORMOUS; especially when I put my two jet ski's on it! A lot of fun though. P.S. I freaking LOVE your Jimmy. What's new with it? Anything? Last edited by Dan in Pasadena; 12-09-2009 at 02:29 PM. |

Scott, Your 'Lanche is nice. I didn't like those when they only came with the plastic sides but since they started making them all metal I've really liked them so much better. Congrats on a nice, nice truck. |

Re: Daily Drivers
Has anyone else besides me noticed that GM seems to alternate their truck "look" between a more square styled body like the '63-'66's, '73-'87's; and a softer, rounded-off look of the '67-'72's and the 90's look of cajundragger's above? I wonder if it's intentional?
P.S. to cajundragger. Your truck's design is my personal favorite of GM's of the recent past. The only other truck design of theirs I like as much is the '67-'68 and that was the last design that famed designer Harely Earl participated in for them...at least that is what I've read. Your truck looks impeccably clean - kudos. SO damn nice. Last edited by Dan in Pasadena; 12-10-2009 at 11:49 AM. |
