Re: My 58 chevy build
Yeah that sounds like a good plan. I was just wondering if a front clip modification was in the works soon. But you're right, that is something you can get back to later when the cash is better.

Well at least it's guaranteed to be fresh. You could use the downtime to shampoo that awesome carpet.

Re: My 58 chevy build
Yeah! Looks great. What's next? Axles and brakes with the plumbing? Are you going with discs in the rear?

Re: My 58 chevy build
I was going to buy stainless steel brake lines for the rear but they only sell them in a complete kit for the 58 and 59 trucks so when I was down at the truck shop in orange I seen they sold the stainless steel 6ft tubes for $17 so I picked one up and made them myself.

Did you top coat that POR 15? It looks good now, but if not top coated it will chaulk. Ask me how I know

Re: My 58 chevy build
The brake lines and the rest of the plumbing looks great with that black por 15. Are you going to put a gas tank in the rear while you have it at the point of assembly? Any thoughts on wheels yet or are you keeping the white spokes?

Re: My 58 chevy build
I did just like you, Painted frame and axles. After 1 year it chaulked bad, no direct light need.

Re: My 58 chevy build
Are you c-notching the frame in the rear? I'm curious if it will work without doing it as i want to do the same setup as you're doing.
