Re: What did you get done spooktacular halloween edition 10/31/2010

Finished reworking front brakes, steering - all new calipers, rotors and wheel bearings, pads, hoses, bleed brake system. Also, purged power steering system after installing re-built power steering box, rag joint. It rides straight and smooth now, even at 70+!! The ever present front end vibrations and constant steering wheel corrections are thing of the past! It appears that one of the old rotors was out whack - causing front end to vibrate! At highway speeds that's a lot metal bouncing up and down!

After several weekends of "engine improvements", my '73 is running again. Here's link to a thread I already started.

Mundane stuff: tune-up, alternator change with a new belt, and homemade tailgate for my dump truck!

Re: What did you get done spooktacular halloween edition 10/31/2010

Finally got a D60 bolted under my converted 3500 so it can feel like a real dually again. No more mismatched wheels!

Then I dragged* my winter project into the shop.

*Actually, I "drug" it in, but that's just because my grammar's not so good.
